·         This service is available ONLY to clients of the Groton City Animal Hospital.  Since many of the products available are by prescription only, we can only dispense these to patients that have been seen here in our practice.  If you are not currently a client of our hospital but are interested in taking part in this service, we would be happy to schedule an appointment to see your pet and set him or her up as a patient in our practice.

·         This service offers a variety of prescription and non-prescription medications such as special diets, pain medication, dental products including treats, chews and toothpaste, flea medications and heartworm medications just to name a few.  The list of products offered will be changing and enlarging over time, but some medications, due to their type, will not be available on line.  An example would be Proin for urinary incontinence since this is considered a “Controlled” substance and cannot be dispensed via any on-line system. 

·         Some medications have guarantees for performance.  An example would be heartworm medication that guarantees that your pet will not get heartworms while he/she is taking the product if used according to label directions.  If these medications are purchased through non-veterinary retailers such as most on-line pharmacies, the guarantee will NOT be honored by the manufacturers.  With our system, since you are purchasing the product through a veterinary supplier, the guarantee will be honored by the manufacturers. 

·         All prescriptions will need to be approved by our office prior to being filled.  Our system is set up to notify us immediately when a new prescription has been received and our staff will review the order and process it as soon as possible.  Orders placed at night or over the weekend will be processed on the next business day. 

·         If there is a problem with the order, such as a medication being ordered that is not appropriate for your pet, our office will notify you by email as soon as possible so that the problem can be resolved.

·         If there is a medication that you would like to have available through this system that is not currently available, please let our office know and we will suggest that to the system administrator.

·         Payments options include Pay Pal done on line where you use your checking account or various credit cards, Care Credit on line or via credit card processed through our office.
